Mesopotamia is a Greek word meaning "between the rivers", the rivers that frame Mesopotamia are the Tigris and Euphrates. The two rivers flood Mesopotamia at least once a year and after the flood it left silt which farmers used to neutralize their crops and made them grow bigger and stronger. This ties into civilization because will the invention of irrigation canals, it made more potential jobs for people. They also had public service workers who worked very hard to clean up after the flood. They also made tools and mud bricks which created jobs and opportunities.
